Owners: Paul Hobbs & Bertrand Vigouroux
Paul Hobbs and Bertrand Vigouroux established Crocus to bring about the evolution of malbec in Cahors. The Vigouroux family has produced wine in the region since 1887, and in 2009 Bertrand Vigouroux partnered with internationally renowned winemaker and malbec specialist Paul Hobbs. The result: wines that redefine Cahors malbec, blending Vigouroux’s experience, Cahors terroirs and historic plant material with Hobbs’s vision, methodology and expertise with the varietal.
